Events (New Server)

One of the aims of this website is to promote all the "interesting stuff" going on around Tenerife, and to show you, the visitors to this island paradise that there is life outside your hotels!

To that end, we'll soon have a diary of events here, listing the local Fiestas, special shows and "charity" events around the island, which make great days and nights out, are immense fun, and which are all free to attend. For now, until we have the new page in place, here are the highlights for the next couple of weeks:

Fiesta de Playa San Juan: Started yesterday (31st July) and continues until this Saturday (3rd August). Various events running every day and night, with the Friday and Saturday night main-stage music running until well after midnight. From Los Cristianos or Las Americas, take bus numbers 472, 473 or 477 going West towards Los Gigantes. Be aware that the last bus back is around 10pm, so if you stay until the last band plays its last note you will need to take a taxi back!

Fest Costa San Miguel: Every Saturday throughout August. Various events starting at 8-30pm and running until about midnight, all based around the "San Blas" Commercial Centre in Golf Del Sur. From Los Cristianos or Las Americas, take bus numbers 470 or 483 going East. You will need to take a taxi back, as the last bus is around 9-30pm.

Fiesta de Valle San Lorenzo: From Saturday 3rd August until Saturday 11th August in the little town of Valle San Lorenzo, about 10Km North of the main tourist area of Los Cristianos. Events every day and night for the whole week, but the best "party" nights are usually the last Friday and Saturday, when they have the best bands on stage and the fireworks, and tend to go on until well into the small hours. Other evenings of interest are the Wednesday and Thursday, when they elect the young Carnival Queens. From Los Cristianos or Las Americas, take bus numbers 416 or 418. As with all of the fiestas, be sure to check the time of the last bus back, or be prepared to take a taxi!
